I Traveled 20 Times During Lockdown: Here’s How I Did It
With everything that comes our way, we’re presented with a choice.
Whether we take it or not is entirely up to us.
It’s no secret we’re constantly bombarded with fear-based narratives, and if we’re not careful, we could find ourselves starting to believe the hype. But despite the way it looks, those fear-based options aren’t the only ones on the table. Sure, the path of panic and fear might have the spotlight on it, but it’s just one option in a sea of possibilities.
In other words, it’s just one timeline.
The concept of timelines and how we use them is very close to my heart. It’s a reminder that we can choose a timeline that calibrates to our higher purpose and truth. Our thoughts and intentions are so loaded with power they can impact our reality in unimaginable ways. Fundamentally it comes down to this:
Recognising that EVERYTHING in life is an offer.
Alignment To Truth
There have been times in my life where, against all odds, I’ve chosen a completely different timeline to what was generally accepted - even when it seemed impossible to do so. Take covid lockdowns for example. I was able to navigate two years of intense lockdowns and restrictions on our freedom because I aligned myself with a different timeline.
Now, I don’t mean any disrespect anyone who has suffered due to lockdowns. I recognise that for many people, this time was brutally tough. I can only speak from my personal experience.
And on my timeline, I was never locked down.
You see, I was presented with the same offer of fear, chaos and disempowerment that everyone else was. But I took it as just that - an offer. I considered it like I would any other invitation, and I came to my own conclusions about the rampant fear narratives being served. I didn’t consent to give up my freedom over it. My truth was something very different, and it was a truth I simply couldn’t deny.
I stopped paying my valuable attention to the hysteria being played out.
I chose a different timeline.
Questioning The Offer
I held a belief that lockdowns and restrictions were not going to affect me in any way, and it was a truth I felt right down to my soul. I’m based in a different state to my family and I was so strong in my convictions that I went ahead and booked trips and holidays with them. Many times.
Were there some hairy moments? Absolutely!
But in every single trip I took (and there were around 20 of them), I miraculously seemed to avoid all issues, sometimes by the narrowest of margins. I was always in the right place, at the right time, where none of the restrictions impacted me. I would literally depart from one state only to find it had gone into mandatory lockdown by the time I’d landed in another!
Could this be dismissed as a coincidence? Perhaps…. If I was the luckiest person on earth maybe.
But It happened over and over and over again.
The first few times I flew back to my hometown, people looked at me like I was a ghost. They couldn’t understand how I’d managed to make it there. After I’d done it a few times, they’d laugh incredulously and ask me how on earth I kept defying the law.
But here’s the thing. I didn’t defy the law. I simply questioned the offer.
Not On My Timeline
When I looked deeper into what was being presented, two things stuck out to me.
It didn’t make a lot of sense
There was more permission in the offer than we were being led to believe
So to the offer of lockdowns and dictatorship, I simply said ‘Not on my timeline’.
This became a mantra, and it’s one I use to this day. When something is completely out of alignment with my truth at a soul level, I say ‘Not on my timeline’.
We Always Have A Choice
So many people aligned themselves with the fear, panic and disempowerment being offered during lockdowns. Many accepted that offer without a second thought. But there are those who considered the offer, said ‘Not on my timeline’ and made an entirely different choice.
Authoring our reality is not a philosophical concept; it’s a call to action, a summons to step into our power with strength, conviction and grace. So next time you find yourself being pulled into fear-based narratives, question the offer being presented and ask yourself ‘Is this on my timeline or not?’ If it’s not, you (and only you) have the power to make a different choice.
